The rules for using Scout Jobs, in plain words. By using Scout, you agree to them.
Effective October 6, 2026. BeChosen runs Scout Jobs at scoutjob.ai.
These terms are between you and BeChosen, which runs Scout Jobs. Our Privacy Policy and SMS Terms are part of them.
You must be 18 or older. Scout is built for job searches in the United States. Keep your sign-in and Scout keys to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
Scout is an AI job agent. It builds your Career ID, finds and ranks jobs, prepares applications, tracks them and briefs you, working through the AI apps you connect and through scoutjob.ai.
You stay in charge. Scout never sends, applies, publishes or charges without your own tap on a scoutjob.ai page.
Scout uses AI to write drafts: resumes, cover letters, answers, messages and reports. Scout is built to use only facts from your Career ID and to flag what is missing instead of making it up. AI can still get things wrong.
Review everything before you use it. You are responsible for what you submit to employers, and it must be true. Do not ask Scout to invent experience, credentials, employers, titles, dates or numbers.
Scout helps you search better, but we cannot promise interviews, offers or a job. Fit scores are Scout's estimates, not an employer's or an applicant tracking system's. Job listings come from third parties and may be out of date or closed.
New accounts start free: your Career ID, your diagnosis, your Showcases, your job matches, Scout's memory and talking to Scout cost nothing. To start a 7-day free trial with full access, add a payment card and choose a plan. You are not charged during the trial. When the trial ends, your card is charged the plan's price, and the plan renews every month (or every year, if you chose yearly) until you cancel. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged; the trial ends when you cancel, and the paid parts (alerts, briefings, job runs, apply help and tailoring) pause. You can cancel any time from Plan and billing in your account, or by asking Scout. Each person gets one free trial. Members who started a free trial without a card before October 16, 2026 keep that trial; when it ends without a membership, the paid parts pause and the free parts stay free.
Current prices are on the pricing section and in Help. You always see the price before you tap, and a receipt comes right away.
Plans and monthly items renew each month (a yearly plan, each year) until you turn them off. Payments are handled by Stripe.
To cancel, email scout@scoutjob.ai from your account email. Cancelling stops future charges.
Bought something by mistake? Undo it within 24 hours for a full refund: ask Scout in your AI app, or email us. Undo is not available once what you bought has been used, for example a Showcase that is already published, a credit that is already spent, or voice minutes already used.
After the undo window, payments are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
You own what you put into Scout: your resume, answers, notes and documents. You give us permission to store, process and change them only to run Scout for you (for example, to tailor a resume or send it to Anthropic for AI work, as our Privacy Policy describes). You confirm you have the right to share what you upload.

We may pause or close accounts that break these rules.
Scout works with services we do not control: your AI app, job boards, employers' sites, Stripe and Telegram. Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for them.
You can stop using Scout at any time and ask us to delete your account (email scout@scoutjob.ai). We may stop offering Scout, or end an account that breaks these terms, with notice when we reasonably can.
Scout is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises beyond those in these terms, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a lost job opportunity.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
New York law governs these terms. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in New York, unless the law where you live gives you a different right.
We may update these terms. We change the date at the top, and if a change matters we tell you before it applies. Using Scout after that means you accept the new terms.
